Specialist blister-pack booklet label saves trial

‘When a supplier let our client down at the last minute, we were delighted to be able to help. Producing a supply of highly technical blister-pack booklets in just seven days from the first contact meant that the trial could go ahead as planned.’

The Customer

The subject of this study is a well-known company which conducts clinical trials.

They came to Piroto with a specific problem that needed to be resolved in a very tight timescale as their existing label supplier had let them down badly.

The Customer’s Challenge

With an important clinical study imminent, our customer’s existing booklet label supplier admitted that they were unable to deliver promised supplies as they did not have the technical capability to meet the customer’s exacting specification.

The customer required a multi-page label that could be applied directly to a blister pack of pills. Importantly, the label had to stay fixed to the blister pack throughout its useable life, regardless of how many pills had been dispensed, and had to be capable of carrying a standard booklet label.

What we delivered

Piroto despatched two members of our specialist technical team to the customer’s site the next day and, together with the customer, drew up a clear and precise brief for the label.

Under considerable time pressure our team were able to redesign the label to meet the customer’s requirements, produce mock-ups and proofs which were quickly approved by the customer, and manufacture the labels. The finished product was delivered on site within seven days of the first call!

The impact on the customer’s business

Without Piroto’s expertise, innovative design capabilities and quick response, the customer’s trial would have been in jeopardy.

Many repeat orders have since been received and the knowledge gained from producing such a technically superior label, has been shared with other companies in the pharmaceutical sector enabling them to benefit too.
