THE CUSTOMER
Our customer, Gama Limited, is the fastest-growing Mediterranean and Ethnic food and drink supplier to the UK market. They pride themselves on offering one of the widest ranges of new and popular food, drinks, and ingredients to UK retailers.
Based in North London, Gama supplies many brands to the UK’s leading supermarkets as well as local corner shops. Their product range spans olive oil, hummus, tahini, and lentils through to premium Turkish delight. In addition, their diverse operation includes repackaging, manufacturing, and own-label branding.
THE CUSTOMER’S CHALLENGE
Our labelling partnership with Gama began over 10 years ago. When their existing label supplier was no longer able to provide the flexibility and service levels they required, Gama’s founder, Ali Sancak, began searching for a more customer-focused label printing company.
Ali, a savvy business leader, gave Piroto the opportunity to prove its credentials by initially working on a small range of pack-front labels, allowing both parties to assess how the relationship would develop.

Over the years, Piroto has developed a wide variety of pack labels, designed effective tamper-evident labels, and produced essential operational labels for Gama. We have advised on and trialled new label solutions, supported label stock control, and assisted with the introduction of faster dispatch label printers to help improve workflows and efficiency
